Raisin The Bar

(See it? See the punny title? Do ya'? Oh, hush; you know you liked it. =P)

I now have a sudden addition to golden raisins.

Sun-Maid Golden Raisins - my new drug.
I was shopping for groceries and other supplies yesterday (long before I got around to finishing yesterday's entry, might I add) when I stumbled across this neat-looking package. I figured, "What the heck - always nice to try something new."

Now, don't confused that last sentence with "I've never had raisins before." Completely different. Practically everyone in the world who's ever had grapes before has probably had raisins as well (and more likely than not, they were Sun-Maid brand). I've had my fair share of raisin boxes over the years, and I've enjoyed more than enough cinnamon raisin bagels for breakfast. (Pro Tip: lightly toasted bagel (any kind) + cream cheese + jelly/jam/marmalade = awesome breakfast.) However, all I've had before are the regular kind - the purple ones. Never have I had the golden kind.

So I grabbed a package, paid for my things, and hopped into my car. Shrugging, I opened the package and tried some. Wow. I forgot how much I enjoyed raisins, and with the sweeter texture of the golden ones (if I remember right, the regular purple ones weren't as sweet as these), I ended up devouring the package within 24 hours.

I'm downing these faster than pill-poppers with painkillers!
If there's a lesson to be learned from this shopping experience, it's this:
Golden raisins are an awesome snack. *goes off to buy more*
